In this video, I travel to Inner Mongolia in China, a place where hardly any foreigners go. After spending one week in the cities of Hohhot and Baotou, I understood why that is.

I'll start this trip in Hohhot, a city with a large Muslim population. Here, I'll visit the largest mosque in the region and wander through a vibrant Muslim market filled with local flavors and culture.

My next stop is Baotou, known as the 'city of steel'. While exploring the city, it becomes very apparent why foreigners usually skip this place. Still, I'm very grateful I got the chance to visit this very unique and foreign place in China.
