Q: What's the best time to visit Jiuzhaigou?
A: September and October are said to be the best time to come, when the trees change colors. We were a bit early.

A: We found a nice guesthouse for around $40 a night. There are also bigger hotels available, but we prefer more affordable options.
Q: How did you get to Jiuzhaigou?
A: We took a high-speed train from Chengdu to Huanglongjiuzhai Station, then a bus to Jiuzhaigou County. The bus ride to the park itself was a bit of a lottery, as we didn't know which side of the park the bus would take us to until we were already on the way.

A: We had a simple lunch set of veggies, steamed egg, chicken leg, and rice for 45 CNY. Portions are generally large in China, so we usually don't order too much.
