We're on a nonstop food adventure in Guangzhou, known as the heart of Cantonese cuisine in China, this city is a paradise for food lovers, and for us, it felt like a trip down memory lane. Exploring different neighborhoods, we found so many comforting dishes that reminded us of the Chinese food we grew up eating back in North America. From comforting congee and fluffy egg cakes to fake shark fin soup (no sharks harmed!), we ate from morning till night and loved every bite.
