Episode 39: Traditional Chinese Tea in Yangzhou + Chinese Calligraphy + Sport and Entertainment in Yangzhou, China. We spent Chinese New Year back in Yangzhou, only 2 hours from Shanghai via the bullet train. During our stay we found a wonderful traditional Chinese tea house and café, which you can also stay in! The owner was so lovely and showed us around before opening hours, and allowed me to try some traditional Chinese calligraphy. We also visited an arcade with relatives, as per mine and Miu’s Chinese New Year tradition, tried stinky tofu, and explored a local park with snooker, billiards, ping pong/table tennis, archery, and bowling facilities. Whether you visit Yangzhou alone, or with family, the city certainly has something to offer to all ages.
