Today I am going to Guangzhou China from Shenzhen with a long distance train. My journey started from Luohu District and I headed to Shenzhen Luohu Railway Station to catch my train.

Train from Shenzhen to Guangzhou takes just over an hour, I noticed there were few trains that went a bit quicker exactly in 60-minutes, unfortunately I missed this one just by 10 minutes..

On arrival in Guangzhou East station I got on a taxi to head to my hotel/apartment. Driver dropped me off nearby to the address where the my place suppose to be, but the I realized that something is not right...

That building is not there, so I did some research to find out that building is 2km from where I was..sadly their address on Agoda app was wrong and yeah it made my arrival quite stressful and I had to get on another taxi and spend more money...

Had a quick snack in 7/11 and then headed on my way, couldn't find any empty taxies on that road so I decided to walk a little. After 10-15 minute walk I managed to get on taxi.

This time I ended up at the right spot! Great success!

Check in my room and everything was good, they even got a washing machine..I sure have to wash some clothes, so it's handy.

I was hungry so I was going out to find some local restaurant and found one very quickly. I ordered some noodle dish and some dumplings as I was quite hungry, Never did I realize that I will get this huge amount of food...

Haha, oopsie I guess :D..

$13 First Class Train to Guangzhou, China πŸ‡¨πŸ‡³

Kevin Travel embarks on an exciting journey from Shenzhen to Guangzhou, seeking a change of scenery after being somewhat stuck in Shenzhen. The adventure begins with a quest for a taxi, a process that proves surprisingly easy near a mall, though navigating to the correct train station requires a bit of effort and following the crowd. He notes the convenience of hailing a taxi on the street in busy areas.

Arriving at the Shenzhen Luohu Railway Station, Kevin faces the challenge of purchasing a ticket, opting to buy it in person rather than through an app due to potential language barriers. He successfully secures a first-class ticket for the train to Guangzhou East Station, anticipating a comfortable journey. The process of navigating the station, including security checks, is described as relatively smooth, with a surprising emphasis on passport checks over ticket scans, suggesting a potential link between the two.

The train journey itself is highlighted as a positive experience. Kevin boards what appears to be a high-speed or bullet train, noting the comfort of the first-class seating and the smooth, rapid acceleration. He observes the passing scenery, which includes farmlands and bodies of water, and even identifies fruit trees like litchi and longan. However, a point of disappointment is the absence of charging ports on the train, which he finds strange for modern public transport.

Upon arrival in Guangzhou, Kevin's plan to take a taxi to his accommodation encounters a significant hurdle: a massive queue. After a considerable wait, he finally secures a ride. The journey to his hotel is complicated by an incorrect address listed on the Agoda app, leading him to a location 2 kilometers away from his actual destination. This error causes considerable stress and an additional taxi fare, a frustrating start to his stay.

After finally reaching the correct accommodation, Kevin discovers his room has a washing machine, a welcome amenity. Hunger drives him to find a local restaurant, where he orders a noodle dish and dumplings. He is taken aback by the sheer volume of food served, humorously acknowledging he may have over-ordered. The dining experience is further marred by the discovery of a fly on his beef noodles, leading him to question the restaurant's hygiene, though he still finds the flavors enjoyable. The dumplings, while plentiful, are described as having a simple, meaty flavor.

Despite the initial logistical challenges and a slightly unsettling dining experience, Kevin takes a necessary walk to digest his large meal. He explores the area, noting the city's size and the contrast between busier, more commercial streets and calmer residential areas. He appreciates the evening views, including the moon and city lights, especially from a bridge overlooking the cityscape. The video concludes with Kevin settling into his room, ready to rest and hinting at the next adventure.
