Rural China: Modernity Meets Countryside near Nanjing
Shocking Public Services in Rural China: Toilets, Trash, and the Unexpected!

I head out about 40 to 50 kilometers from the Chinese city of Nanjing to explore what life looks like in the countryside. Along the way, I find peaceful rural communities, small local shops, clean public toilets, EV charging stations tucked between homes, and even a car wash and petrol station. The scenery is beautiful—full of green allotments and quiet farmland—with a high-speed railway slicing right through it all. It’s a look at how modern convenience is blending into China’s rural spaces.
