The Best View in Hong Kong
Join us as we hop over to Hong Kong to explore the bustling city. This is the second vlog in our latest Hong Kong series and covers the second day of our travels in the vibrant mega city. Today we are checking out the best views and photography locations in HK starting with a hike up Braemar Hill. This hike is a hidden gem- where most tourists would recommend Victoria Peak, the locals recommend Braemar Hill and it is easy to see why. This hike has the best panoramic views of the city and mountains with hardly any tourists: if you want to get the views we got, be prepared to climb over boulders and head off the beaten track.
Another great photo location is Kennedy Town- with its colourful buildings, basketball courts, and views of the sea, it’s a great place to capture the pastel colours of the trams in a Studio Ghibli style vibe. Near the metro station, through a basketball court, you’ll find the best place to take photos down the street into the sea. There are some cafes and restaurants in the area too which makes it a great place to stop for some lunch.
We can’t mention the breathtaking views of Hong Kong without visiting the famous Victoria Peak. To get to the top you can get the bus for just. Over $11, or you can take the tram: be prepared to wait at least an hour for the tram so I recommend the bus. The hike here is fairly flat and the paths smooth, making it a great alternative to Braemar Hill for those with lesser mobility.
The nightlife in Hong Kong is just as vibrant as Shanghai.
