Today I am trying classic Hong Kong style breakfast set for the first time ever! It's been so long and I still haven't tried it, so it was about time..

I found this cute local spot for it that nice set for reasonable price, everything looked very nice and service was also excellent.

After that I took a famous Island double-story tram... That was super cool experience and highly recommend boarding one, It's my first time seeing tram like this.

I got lucky that my tram was directed to wet market where I actually wanted to go, so we got to see the market from second floor before going on ground level.

I browsed around the market my stomach was a bit full, but I guess always room for some durian for me, haha..I got pretty big durian for $96 that's about $12 USD, not too bad considering the size of the durian.

I went to nearby sitting spot overlooking Kowloon Bay to enjoy my durian.

Trying a Classic Hong Kong Breakfast for the First Time! πŸ‡πŸ‡°

Kevin Travel embarks on his first-ever culinary adventure in Hong Kong, diving headfirst into a classic Hong Kong-style breakfast. He navigates the city's bustling streets to find a local eatery, seeking the iconic macaroni soup with bread, egg, and milk tea. The milk tea, a rich and solid brew, is a delightful surprise, even surpassing his expectations from Taiwan, the birthplace of milk tea.

The breakfast set arrives, featuring a flavorful macaroni soup with a distinct ham essence, which Kevin finds surprisingly satisfying. He also samples a sweet bread, pondering the best way to enjoy it with the perfectly cooked, salty, and creamy egg, complete with a hint of pepper. He notes the bread might serve as a dessert, contemplating the traditional way locals consume this meal.

Transitioning from his breakfast, Kevin ventures to experience Hong Kong's unique double-decker tram system. He opts for the upper deck, relishing the elevated perspective of the city's dense urban landscape, characterized by towering buildings and distinctive air conditioning units. A particularly serendipitous moment occurs when the tram unexpectedly diverts through a vibrant wet market, offering him a bird's-eye view of the lively scene below, filled with vendors selling fresh produce, seafood, and meats.

His journey continues as he explores North Point, a local neighborhood that appears slightly more affordable. He then decides to purchase a crispy pineapple bun, a traditional pastry, though he's unsure if he can enjoy it on the tram. The tram ride itself provides fascinating insights into Hong Kong's public transport, including the tap-on payment system and the close proximity of the trams on the tracks. The tram's route takes an unexpected turn, leading him directly to the very wet market he intended to visit.

Kevin then immerses himself in the bustling wet market, observing the lively atmosphere with vendors selling a wide array of goods. He notes the constant flow of shoppers and the careful navigation required by the tram operators. He also witnesses the freshness of the seafood, with live shrimp and fish on display.

Later, Kevin indulges in a large durian, a fruit he finds readily available in Hong Kong, though at a notable price. He finds a scenic spot overlooking Kowloon Bay to savor his purchase. He reflects on the availability and pricing of durian in Hong Kong compared to other Asian countries, finding it surprisingly more accessible than in Bangkok, despite Thailand being a major producer. He also observes hygiene officers ensuring standards are met in the market areas.

His exploration extends to a quieter indoor market and he notices the significant presence of domestic workers from countries like Indonesia and the Philippines, who form strong communities in Hong Kong. He even encounters a fisherman with a unique portable aquarium. The video concludes with Kevin enjoying his durian, reflecting on the day's experiences, and trying a pineapple bun, which he finds delicious and soft, likening its flavor to sugar on top.
