China's Abandoned $300B Squid Game Theme Park in Jiangsu
Real Life Squid Games Abandoned $300 Billion Dollar Failed Theme Park (CHINA)

This is the story behind China’s abandoned $300 billion dollar failed mega theme park — a surreal, unfinished world that some say feels like a real-life Squid Game set.
Built by Evergrande, one of the largest real estate companies in China, this massive theme park was once part of a $5.5 billion vision to rival Disneyland. The plan was to construct fifteen “Fairyland” parks across the country — blending Chinese mythology, futuristic rides, and bold architecture into year-round family destinations.
But behind the fantasy was a much riskier strategy. These parks weren’t just about entertainment — they were tools to gain land and fuel real estate profits. Evergrande borrowed heavily to fund its rapid expansion. By 2021, the company collapsed under more than $300 billion in debt. Construction froze, and the Fairyland dream faded before it ever became reality.
In this video, I explore one of the most haunting remnants of that dream — an abandoned theme park in Jiangsu province. Castles remain unfinished. Pirate ships sit lifeless. Mascots stare into nothing. The park’s exterior was nearly complete… but the inside was left hollow and forgotten.
You’ll learn the full story of how this ambitious project came to be, why it failed, and what might happen to this site in the near future.
What was once built to bring joy now stands as a monument to ambition, risk… and silence.
