Chengdu’s Vertical Forest Living at QiYi City Forest Garden:
Visit China’s largest Forest apartment:It Looks Like Avatar!

Today I’ve reached the Chengdu QiYi City Forest Garden. Take Metro Line 3 to Zhonglou Station, Exit D and you’ll see this amazing building. This project is a model example of vertical forest architecture, bringing nature into high-rise homes. Each residence has a two-story sky garden ranging from 60 to 100 square meters, breaking the cage-like vibe of traditional apartments. The design uses staggered floors to ensure privacy while offering every air-home a three-sided green courtyard. The total residential area is about 138,000 square meters, making it China’s first fourth-generation residential project. The forest gardens host many plants—honeysuckle, ivy, grapes, bougainvillea—and blend with an adjacent shopping complex that houses attractions like a Ferris wheel, large slides, a drop tower, a carousel, a mini train, and a big ice-skating rink with an IMAX cinema, creating a dreamy entertainment hub. The central atrium, Forest Sky Dome, and the stepped commercial street feature a canopy-style dynamic dome that runs through the core. The rooftop of the commercial complex offers a rooftop wedding garden for themed celebrations and events.
