Today was Matthew and Holly's first time at Hong Kong Disneyland, one of my favourite theme Parks in the world; its compact size means all the rides are really easy to navigate to. Unfortunately, we needed to cut the day short after just a couple of hours. We start the day a little late at our hotel, the Disney's Explorers Lodge hotel and get the courtesy shuttle bus to Hong Kong Disneyland. After getting through security we start to walk around the theme park, first through Adventure Land and then Mystic Point where we go on Mystic Manor, a Haunted Mansion type attraction and one of my favourites in the park. After walking through Toy Story Land we get lunch at the Royal Banquet Hall; me and Matthew both have the mixed grill. It tasted really good. We then go on the AntMan and the Wasp Nano Battle ride, another really good ride at the park. Holly is progressively feeling worse so we decide to call it a day and leave the park and go back to the hotel so she can rest for the remainder of the day. Later Matthew and I go for a swim at the Disney's Explorers Lodge swimming pool and then I go for a walk around the hotel next door, the Disney Hollywood Hotel, as when we come back to Hong Kong in the future I am thinking about staying in this hotel so wanted to look around.

HONG KONG DISNEYLAND Didn't Go As Planned

This vlog follows Travelshorts' family trip to Hong Kong Disneyland, which unfortunately took an unexpected turn due to Holly's illness. The video begins with their arrival at the park via the courtesy shuttle bus from Disney's Explorers Lodge hotel. Despite pre-booked tickets and Premier Access passes to skip lines, they encountered long queues and some initial frustrations.

The family explored Adventureland and Mystic Point, enjoying the Mystic Manor ride, a highlight for Travelshorts, reminiscent of other Disney parks' Haunted Mansion attractions. They then ventured into Toy Story Land and had lunch at the Royal Banquet Hall, where they ordered the mixed grill. The long wait for the food, despite the limited menu, prompted Travelshorts to question the park's operational efficiency.

After lunch, they rode the Ant-Man and the Wasp Nano Battle ride before Holly's condition worsened. The decision was made to cut the day short and return to the hotel, prioritizing Holly's health over continuing their theme park experience. This unexpected change of plans led to a discussion about the cost of Premier Access passes and the customer service experience when trying to transfer them to the next day. They eventually purchased new passes for the following day after receiving a partial refund for the unused passes.

The remainder of the day was spent at the hotel, with Travelshorts highlighting the Explorers Lodge pool and later taking a walk around the Disney's Hollywood Hotel, which he considers for a future stay. The vlog concludes with Travelshorts reflecting on the unexpected events, prioritizing family well-being over theme park plans, and offering a glimpse into the hotels' amenities, providing viewers with useful information for planning their own Hong Kong Disneyland trips. The video demonstrates a personal touch by showcasing the family's reactions to both positive and negative experiences, making it relatable and engaging for viewers.
