China Tea Culture: Mengding Mountain & Ya'an Tea Factory Journey
Experiencing China’s Most Important Culture

In this video, I dive into one of China’s most important cultural traditions. The day begins in the misty hills of Mengding Mountain, where tea has been grown for thousands of years, and continues into the afternoon at a local Ya’an tea factory. Along the way, I learn how tea shaped daily life, trade, and identity, especially through the historic Tea Horse Road, which connected China and Tibet for centuries. From picking leaves to pressing tea and tasting it the traditional way, this experience showed me how tea in China is far more than a drink — it’s living history, culture, and lifestyle.
