In this video, we visit the Sun Moon Lake in Taiwan and go on a short hike up to the Ci'en Pagoda. The trail winds through lush subtropical forest, offering glimpses of the lake's turquoise waters below. Each switchback brings a new perspective of the surrounding mountains. At the top, the nine-story pagoda stands serene, built in memory of Chiang Kai-shek's mother. The climb is steady but manageable, perfect for a morning adventure. Inside the pagoda, the spiral staircase rewards with panoramic views from the top floor. The lake stretches out like a silk ribbon between the peaks. It's a peaceful escape that blends nature, history and a bit of leg work. Definitely worth the sweat.
