Day 11 of my solo travel adventure in China and my last day in Chengdu. Today I went to the panda research base and explored Chengdu city with a local. The pandas were incredible to see up close—these gentle giants are truly China's national treasure. After the base, we wandered through the city's laid-back neighborhoods. Chengdu feels unhurried, with people sipping tea in parks and playing mahjong on street corners. The food scene is amazing: we had hotpot that was spicy but incredibly flavorful. By night, the city transforms into a neon-lit cyberpunk wonderland. I even stumbled upon a local dating corner in the park, which was fascinating to watch. This city lives up to its reputation as China's most relaxed city. If you ever visit China, don't skip Chengdu.
