In this video I travel deep into rural China to Huangling Village in an area of Jiangxi Province called Wuyuan. Huangling Village is in my opinion one of the world’s most beautiful villages. It is nestled on the side of a rural hill in this mountainous central Chinese province. It is all about the ordinary life of locals in the area, farming the terraces and drying chilli and other crops on bamboo baskets attached to their rooftops. The villagers use a method called “shaiqiu” (晒秋), which means sun-drying in autumn, to preserve their crops.
