Beijing to Dandong Sleeper Train: Peering into North Korea

I took one of the most mysterious train journeys in the world: the sleeper train from Beijing to the "Gates of North Korea."

In this video, I’m boarding a 14-hour sleeper train bound for the border. Our destination is Dandong, the largest Chinese border city, which sits directly across the Yalu River from Sinuiju, North Korea.

What is it actually like on a train heading toward the world’s most secluded nation in 2026? I’ll show you the cabin conditions, the food, and the strange atmosphere as we get closer to the DPRK. Once we arrive, we explore the China-North Korea border, walk along the Broken Bridge, and look directly into one of the most secretive countries on earth.
