Mid-Autumn Festival: Exploring a Wealthy Chinese Village

I saw a village from the window of the bullet train, and came back the next day to see it in person...and we stumbled into some tour guides who showed us around 😍. I’ve spent a lot of time in the countryside in various parts of China and this was one of the wealthiest villages I’ve ever seen.... a backyard Taoist temple/shrine, a koi pond the size of a swimming pool, and houses that are just all around massive - and amid all this, there’s still many elements of traditional village life like chickens running around, old stone architecture, thatched roofs, and wood fired rice cookers. This was a very interesting place indeed 🐓
