Dragon's Back Trail Wushan | Free Hike in Chongqing, China

Today I'm hiking the famous Dragon’s Back Trail in Wushan, China, in the spectacular Three Gorges region. The trail takes me high into the mountains, through clouds, rain, endless stairs and some incredible scenery.

I started the hike from the bottom and spent around 5 hours making my way up the Dragon’s Back. The weather wasn't exactly perfect, but that made the adventure even more interesting! The Dragon’s Back Trail reaches around 1,100 meters above sea level and offers incredible mountain views over Wushan and the surrounding Three Gorges landscape. And the best part? The hike itself is FREE!

After reaching the top, the adventure wasn't over. I still had to figure out how to get back to Wushan city… with no bus, no clear signs and very few people around. Luckily, I managed to find a ride back to the city.
